About Oarabile & what to expect.
👋Hello There!
I am Oarabile Benjamin, a 21-year-old footballer,
and sportswriter. After a few months
contemplating on creating this blog, I have finally decided to create a sports blog,
where I will be covering sports stories on almost every single aspect that has
to do with sports. One would ask themselves on "when has Oarabile ever been
a writer/ blogger" well this has been something that I have been wanting
to do for a long time, but for some weird reason I have been delaying. I have
always been a writer and I have been interested in doing this for a while. The
motivation behind this blog is that I want to be that individual that gives
people a voice to express how they feel about certain situations in sports (I
will be mostly covering football as this blog starts off). As a person that is
inspired by the likes of Robert Marawa, Lindiwe Dube, Karabo Phasa and Mazola Molefe,
I thought let me just take initiative and have my own blog where I can express
views on situations that are happening within the sports world, which in my
perspective, mainstream media is not covering. Now that you know that I am
currently a student, I will definitely push to publish on a weekly basis as we
all have to balance the responsibilities that we have in our lives, right? Those
that know me personally would probably ask themselves if I were still a
footballer, and yes, I still play football, I did not let go of the sport, this
is just a matter of stepping out of my comfort zone and making a difference.
What
to expect in this blog
There’s
a number of things that you can expect from this blog.
- Transfer
news
- Current
affairs on sports
- Interviews
with amateur, semi and professional footballers (I am still building a network).
- Conversations
with people within the sports industry.
[but
for now, it will just be sports news that is currently happening]
As a
side note [to the reader of this blog]
- This
blog is only managed by Oarabile, in terms of editing the blogs, choosing news
feeds, interviews so my promise to you will be that I will publish a few stories
but as I gain momentum I will post more frequently. It is just a matter of
getting used to my writing style and executing everything in a perfect manner.
Otherwise
#KeNako, hope you enjoy reading this blog.
