Khanyisa Mayo: A star at City
Khanyisa
Mayo has reached a remarkable milestone at the gold army by becoming their
all-time leading goal scorer in their recent 2-1 victory against Chippa United
in the DSTV premiership.
Where
Mayo started to catch the Sports bar’s attention: Mayo
is a player that caught the sports bar's attention when he was still playing for Richard Bay
FC in the 2020-21 season where he played 21 matches and scored 7 goals in the
national first division. His star Stelling performances continued when Richards
Bay played in the Nedbank Cup whereby, he scored 2 goals in 3 matches in the
2020-21 season of the Nedbank Cup as he played a huge role in how Richards Bay FC performed in the tournament.
Showcasing
his talent on a bigger stage As Mayo continued to display
top performances at Richards Bay, he caught the attention of many clubs in the
Premier Soccer league (PSL). He later made a move to Cape Town City, a club
many could say is fairly new as it was established in 2016. The talisman
continues to thrive on the bigger stage as he is now the clubs all-time leading
goal scorer, which is quite good considering that he only made a move to the
citizens in the 2021-22 season.
Khanyisa
Mayo is definitely a player to keep an eye on during this season as he is still
continuing with his outstanding performances. He is still only 25 years old,
which gives a lot more time to see more of what Khanyisa Mayo can bring to the
table on a footballing level.

very good movement on and off the ball, well positioned, goal scorer, able to
take on players (which is what a winger is supposed to do), great freekick
